If your question is not listed here, write to us or visit a branch: an advisor will answer you in Creole as well as in French, with amounts in gourdes.

Account & membership

What documents do I need to open an account?
A valid identity document (CIN, passport or NIF), a recent photo and an initial deposit of 500 G for a savings account or 2,000 G for a current account. For an association or a cooperative, also provide the minutes of incorporation and the list of signatories.
Can I open an account from abroad?
Yes. File your application with BHZK Corporation in Jacksonville, the group’s parent company: it is forwarded to Camp-Perrin and the account becomes active as soon as the certified documents are received. The initial deposit, which can be in US dollars, is paid directly into your BACCABANK ECO - S.A. account: BHZK Corporation does not receive customer funds.
Are there account maintenance fees?
The community savings account is free. The current account costs 150 G per month, waived for the first six months and for members of a MOFEMTÈD cell or of an association affiliated with CAPAH.
How long does it take to receive my account number?
It is issued the same day, at the branch. If you request a card, it follows within 48 hours for a prepaid card and within one week for a debit card.

Transactions & Zantray

How do I receive a transfer from the diaspora?
Your relatives deposit with a licensed Zantray agent or send an international bank transfer directly to your BACCABANK ECO - S.A. account (SWIFT code BACCHTPPXXX). You are notified by SMS and withdraw in gourdes or dollars, at a branch or an agent, on presentation of an ID.
Are cash deposits charged?
No. Cash deposits into your own account are free and unlimited in number, in gourdes as well as in US dollars.
What should I do if a transfer does not arrive?
Report it within 48 hours with the transfer slip number. A complaint is opened and tracked; it is processed within five business days at most.
Can I pay a bill from my account?
Yes, for billers that have an agreement with the group: school fees at partner institutions, energy through CAME and BACCA insurance premiums.

Cards

My card is blocked. What should I do?
Three incorrect PIN entries block the card for security reasons. It can be unblocked free of charge at a branch with your identity document — never by phone or by message.
Does the prepaid card work online?
It can be used for online purchases from merchants that accept Haitian prepaid cards, up to the balance loaded on the card. 3-D Secure is enabled by default.
What is the daily withdrawal limit?
40,000 G on the debit card, and a maximum balance of 100,000 G on the prepaid card. These limits can be raised temporarily upon written request.

Loans

Do I need a property title to borrow?
Not for solidarity microloans or seasonal agricultural loans: the guarantee is the group’s joint surety or the association’s endorsement. Housing loans, however, require a title deed or a certificate of occupancy.
How long does it take to get an answer?
72 hours for microloans and school loans, and five business days for agricultural, housing and SME loans, including the field visit.
Can I repay early?
Yes, with no penalty on any of our loans. Interest is only due for the period actually elapsed.
What happens if the harvest is poor?
Agricultural loans provide for a rescheduling of repayments, assessed together with CAPAH. Inform your advisor before the due date: a deferral is possible, but not once a payment has been missed.

Security

Will BACCABANK call me to ask for my PIN?
Never. No employee will ever ask for your PIN, your password or a code received by SMS. Any such request is a fraud attempt: hang up and call us.
Are my deposits guaranteed?
BACCABANK ECO - S.A. is licensed by the Bank of the Republic of Haiti under number BH-2024-001 and applies the prudential and anti-money laundering rules in force.
How do I report fraud?
Call customer service, then confirm in writing to our email address. The payment instruments concerned are blocked immediately.
